Decorating a Chandelier for Christmas
This Christmas I'm all about keeping the decorating as simple as possible. We've had this chandelier (I bought it for $35 through a Facebook yard sale group) for about two years now and have never decorated it. The chandelier we had before looked like it came from the 80's, but I tried to make it look nice at Christmas time - it never worked.
I decided this year to give it a try and decorate the chandelier with some of the stuff I had used with the old one. I used the same type of garland as I did with our dinning room table centerpiece and bought some berries from Michaels. Wrapped the base of the chandelier with the garland and then formed the branches. Once I liked the way the branches looked, I just placed the berries in between each light.
I just think it looks so great and just adds something extra to our dinning room area. Another simple and inexpensive way to decorate your dinning room. I think I even bought the berries after Christmas a few years ago so they were extremely marked down. Do you decorate your chandelier? One year I hung ornaments from our old one and before that I would hang my angel Boyd's Bear ornaments from it. Let's just say, Jon is much happier with this.
